What is Mailagents.uk?
Mailagents.uk is a product of Spectos (www.spectos.com). The website www.mailagents.uk and Mailagents App were developed by Spectos to assist in surveys. It is the interface used by our panellists to participate on these surveys. Mailagents is where you will record the details of posting and receiving test items such as date/time of Posting/Receiving, location of posting and find out your rewards balance, important messages on the survey and much more. For this, we rely on people like you to support our survey of Royal Mail’s Quality of Service.
Who is Spectos?
Spectos is an independent, ISO certified institute for field trials designed to improve quality in the customer contact processes for their clients. Spectos Service Quality Solutions are designed for Customer Services, Human Resources, Operations and Quality Management. Registration – About Mailagents App
How can I register myself as a Mailagent?
You can become a Mailagents panellist by registering on the Mailagents app via the Google Play Store (Android) or the App Store (iOS) or on the Mailagents.uk website www.mailagents.uk.
Once you have registered, you will receive a Hello Letter confirming your registration and information on how to activate your Mailagents account.
How can I activate my Mailagents account?
Once you receive your Hello Letter and if you have not already downloaded the Mailagents app, scan QR Code 1 to go to the Google Play Store (Android) or the App Store (iOS) and download the Mailagents app.
After downloading, open the app and scan QR Code 2 from the Hello Letter. Alternatively, you can activate your Mailagents account manually by simply entering the i.code into the app.
You will find both of the QR codes needed to activate your Mailagents account on the second page of your Hello letter.
Confirm your registraton details and your Mailagents account is activated. Please do the sender and receiver quiz and the first measurement can start.
2. Tasks
2.1. What is the aim of this survey?
The aim of the survey is to measure Royal Mail’s quality of service performance - that is, the proportion of mail Royal Mail delivers on time. The data you record for us will provide valuable performance indicators to help Royal Mail improve the quality of the postal service it provides to you and to people and businesses across the UK. Thank you for taking part in this survey - your participation is greatly appreciated.
2.2. What will be my tasks during the survey?
Your task will be to receive and send test letters and/or parcels to measure the transit time of mail from the point of posting to the point of delivery.
2.3. Why should I exclusively get in contact with you instead of Royal Mail if I have any questions regarding actual surveys or other matters?
It is important that panel members remain unknown to Royal Mail to ensure there is no possibility, by accident or design, for Royal Mail to enhance the service received by panel members participating in the surveys.
3. Test Items – Letters, Parcels and Bundles
3.1. I am not sure what to do with a received test item, what can I do?

3.2 Is there a limit on how many items I will be expected to post and receive?
We want to make sure you are not overburdened, so you will not normally be asked to post and receive more than 15 items per month. The number of items each panellist is required to post and receive is closely monitored on a daily basis.
4. Incentive – SpectosCents
4.1. What will be my incentive for taking part in those surveys?
Private panel members: Your efforts will be rewarded you will receive 12 First Class stamps and 4 First Class Large Letter stamps every month; presentation packs of stamps every six months, in addition to the postage stamps you will earn points to collect and redeem on an ongoing basis by using the Mailagents App. A list is provided here.

4.2 How can I collect points?
For each confirmed item - whether it was received or shipped - you will receive 35 points, which will be automatically added to your rewards balance by using the Mailagents App. Once you reach a balance of 2.500 points, you can donate your points for charity or redeem them for gift of vouchers. Please choose “Request voucher” in the Mailagents App or online at mailagents.uk.
4.3 How can I check the number of my points collected?
You can find the number of collected points in the Mailagents App. Whenever you open the App, your points accumulated to date will be shown on each page of the App above the selected menu.
5. GPS Function – Post Offices Locations
5.1. Why must I accept the use of GPS positioning by using the Mailagents app?
The app should be used to automate your data entry process and ensure accurate data entry wherever possible - the use of GPS positioning and date and timestamping helps us to record exactly when and where an item was posted. Please note that GPS is only used while using the Mailagents app actively and where a phone signal is available only.
5.2. Why should I continue to record survey data up to at least 14 days after I stop taking part in the survey?
As there is a lead time to prepare and send out sender packs, we would kindly ask you to confirm you will take care to send back all received items for up to at least 14 days after you informed us that you are leaving the survey.
